Hey :)

So i'm completely new to all of this as i only passed my test last November, i'd prefer to give things a shot myself rather than having to wait in queue & pay to have things fixed at my local garage..

I've got a 2000 saxo 1.1 basically my front brake pads need changing, i've ordered haynes saxo book as it is supposed to be helpful but wondered if anyone might be able to give me step by step guide/advice , and tell me what tools i'll need to do this?

at the moment i have no clue so literally, dummies guide :geek: lol

thanks :)

I no longer own a saxo, but you would need to;
Jack the car up,
Put it on axel stands,
Remove the wheel,
Turn the steering so you can see behind the disk where the caliper bolts on,
Remove the two bolts,(possibly torx bits?),
Remove caliper,
Remove pads,
Fit new ones making sure the tops and back of them are greased,
grease all bolts and sliders,
Then refit.

In theory not that hard to do, however if you dont really know what your doing then I would suggest taking it to a garage, as Im sure you'll agree, the brakes are pretty important.
You dont want to have an accident.

Sorry for being a bit vague, but I cant remember the Exact saxo setup as I no longer own one. The haynes manual should help though.

Cheers,
