what car ? 8v or 16v?

I presume cam carrier you mean the camshaft ladder and that its a 16v if this is the case?

Sorry i forgot to mention it being a 16v vts engine. I call the cam ladder a cam carrier, always assumed they were both accepted terms for the same thing.

I would say something in the range of 3-4 hours from start to finish.

30-45mins with the engine out the car 3-4 hours like Ross says in the car
