Driving Test..

Sorry, I know the 'DRIVING TEST' threads have been posted alot...



But would anyone guide me what do I do on a driving test? ... and tell me any stupid majors that people make please, would appreciate it so I can avoid those silly mistakes x) by the way, this is my first driving test :O

Driving test is on 24th wednesday (today) at 9:17 is that a good time?

Do exactly as the instructor tells you to do. Remember to check all 3 mirrors, not the whole time but do keep checking them and make sure you move your head a wee bit so he notices you checking them, don't just move your eyeballs for a peep as he may not notice you've checked your mirrors at all.

Take your time don't rush things, stick to speed limits, be aware of all traffic around ya and just see how it goes basically, try not t panic or anything just do everything you've been taught in a calm manner and if you do it right, you should have no problems

Best advice anyone could give about a driving test is: Chilllll!

Don't fret about it. Nerves are what make people fail.

Be sure to check blind spots on maneuvers! I failed a test for forgetting to check them during a bay park.

Wouldnt have said it was an ideal time.. Still might be some work/school traffic around.

Just try keep calm, talk to the examiner. If he/she appears moody, ignore it. Dont let it put you off. I spent my test worrying I had failed because my examiner kept sighing when I did things. Just ignore this and concentrate on the road. Remember that even if you make a mistake, if dealt with correctly, it might not be marked against you. My mate stalled twice due to nerves and he wasnt marked down for it.

Dont forgot the simple things... Don't drive out the white lines when you start your test. Remember to indicate correctly. Keep checking your mirrors whenever you can, whenever you change direction or speed. Watch the speed limits, they pick up on it even if you go over a little bit. I got two minors for that :n:

During your manouvres remember to check all mirrors. Stop if another car comes along. Take your time with everything :y:

Another tip I have, when your asked to pull over, dont automatically assume you have got to pull over. If you cant find a suitable space just keep going and say to the examiner there isnt anywhere suitable.

Best advice I would say is just stay calm. Nerves are what make people make mistakes.

Mind and take it easy if its a vtr your driving, they are still pretty quick cars especially for a first car
