i just sold an item on ebay, for £60 sent the buyer the invoice for £60, he says hes sent it, ive gone to my paypal and its not there, so ive gone onto my ebay, and gone to SELLING, on the item it says, sign up with paypal to claim my money??? whats that about? my ebay and paypal are registered togther and never had no problems? is this guy trying to do me over? seems dodgy to me just wondering what you all thought?

I had the same thing when selling a phone for £230 and the guy turned out to be A scammer

well the person wont be getting anything posted out till payments cleared, started to get to me now selling on ebay, payments always on hold or scammers

i had something along the lines of this. its called phishing where they send you a fake paypal email saying its been payed when it hasnt. have you ad an email like that. you can send it to paypal and they get back saying if its a fake or not

no not had anything yet, but i just sent him a message telling him that i wont be registering with paypal again so hes going to have to pay me a different way :wall:

If it is'nt in your paypal then the money has'nt been sent, as your paypal is linked to your email address.

Sounds like either an eCheque, accepting funds, both of which will be in your paypal account as an alert. Always log into paypal through typing the paypal address into your url bar. If theres nothing there about it, then it sounds like you might have put the wrong paypal address in on ebay? .com instead of .co.uk maybe? Therefore hes sent the money as he should have done, but to an email address which dosent have a paypal account registered to. No way around that if the address is wrong.

I had this when i sold my decat, it means your paypal isnt set up fully.
I knew the guy wasnt a scammer because i met up with him and he paid cash so dont think its a scam stright away!!
ring paypal and see what needs doing, just make sure you have the guys email address thats sending you the money

my ebay and paypal is linked, sold something yesterday and didnt have any problems

could it be you need to verify you bank account by putting in a number thats been pain in like 0.34p for example i remember doing that once

says its all done, i just dont sell anything now haha
anyway why not just ring paypal with the guys email address and see what they say?
