submerge it in rice, rice draws moisture out of things, then put the whole lot in the airing cupboard and leave it for 2-3 days

Dont hair dryer it, that will make it dry to fast and the water will biol components
Was covered on the gadget show :D

Take the phone apart (as much as you can ie : Battery, sim, casing if you can)
Leave it on a towel or tea towel on a radiator

A airing cupboard will cause condensation and likely Fog the screen

Let it dry over at least 12 hours, put it back together and see if it works
If so...bingo

If not repeat for another 12

12 hours may seem like a long time...put a drop of water on your window sill, see how long that takes to disappear, now imagine 100's of tiny water droplets in your phone circuitry.
Give it time, save your money, save your gadget

Jumped in a pool when pissed with my phone in my pocket... took it out straight away, took it apart and left it to dry for 2 days. Worked ok apart from a couple of buttons but they started working again about a week later

Mine went through the washing machine once :n: Left it in my jeans pocket and heard it banging around.

It flickered on for a second or so, and then it died.

Get it insured online.

Technically its not fraud as you dont know if its broken yet.

put it in a sealable plastic bag with case off etc, with some of those silicone sachets you get in electrical goods boxes (the lil bags at the bottom of the box that say do not eat! its silicone cyristals they will draw the moisture out of the phone but need to leave it for about a week.)

Leave it in the airing cupboard overnight and try turning it on in the morning. just make sure it has time to dry out!

Mine went into my vodka & red bull at the weekend courtesy of my mate knocking it off a windowsill, and it's on the radiator right now, it was completely fucked but then left it to dry for a few hours the next morning and it works apart from some buttons don't work and the number 5 does a J and a space no matter how many times i try for K & L.. J J J J J ...

The screens still full of vodka and i can hardly hear people speaking in calls so i'm leaving it to dry again think the damage is done though cos i didn't even rush to get it out i just picked the glass up and told my mate "it's sound" and then casually picked it out and wiped it on my jeans

If i was a bit more straight headed i might of done something about it but fuck it. Least it aint covered in piss and flakey faeces :P

Dropped my old 3210 (old school) in my brew back when I was at school dried it off took it aprt including screen and left it for a couple of days. And it worked fine except the no 3 button occasionally wouldn't work unless you twiddled with it. A lot harder to save them though these days as they're a lot more complicated.

I dont understand why that is so funny, it really does work i knocked a pint of water onto my w910i, rememberd the rice trick from some website took my phone apart dryed it off with kitchen roll then submerged it in a bowl of DRY UN COOKED rice that bits important, put it on a window sill above a radiator and it should be fine, my phone worked fine, needed a new keypad tho that was mashed

I've done this too! Best thing about the 3210 was that you could take apart the whole phone like the covers etc but the problem with new phones as said is that they are too complicated to do!

Had my phone in the front pouch of my hoody, took hoody off forgetting about the phone and it dropped in the toilet(with clean water). Took the battery, sim card and memory card out and used a hair dryer on it then left it on a radiator for a few hours. Still working today and its a touch screen phone (Nokia 5800).
