Id just like to show you lot what can be achieved with knowledge and a DA polisher, screw the rotary crew lol naaaa i have used both but would like to share this with you guys :)
here we have a 56reg ford mondeo,3days previous to its TAXI MOT i was called in to do what i could in 1day,as the next 2 days it would be having a new clutch and other parts sorted! as the pictures show paint work was clearly washed with a stone and soap  pictures were taking on camera phone so not the best quality, and sorry about the rubbish write up,here is the pictures :) id say i achieved 90-95% correction, enjoy :)

haha i have got 1 buddy but this is just an example for those who are using or looking to use a DA,rotary is only faster and higher risk of striking through paint...so for the less experienced, just buy a DA build experience and get a rotary :D

which is a good idea if you dont have a paint depth gauge! as striking through plastic can be easier!
for anybody interested im using a paint detective8 (PD8) gauge! In my opinion its a must!

there is nothing wrong with a DA tbh. all you do is add more pressure and it does the same job. only thing is you have to go over the area a couple more times then you would with a rotary. so you nd up using a bit more products but it all depends on the price you give a client I suppose :).
for quick jobs I usea rotary for procice taking time jobs il use a DA.
all about the patients :P
I have one critic to mention though, tyres get them cleaned!!!!!!! it lets your final result overall down. nice corrected ford and then some muddy looking tyres with a small bit of tyre shine on them :S.

Some difference. How much was the paint gauge? I cant wait to get cracking with my DA, no chance with this weather though.

a paint depth gauge can be expensive unless you find a second hand one, think the one i was looking at was 100 second hand

PTG's are expensive but as mentioned they are a must, Blackhole looks superb after polishing , just gives darker colours that bit more depth and shine! good job.

the man speaks sense^^^ as stated they are a worthy investment as you could end up with a pricey bill on your hands!!
poorboys black hole is stated good for darker colours, its a marketing ploy, its good any colour light or dark ;)
