Going for promotion

As some of you know iv been having a few problems with my job, I have been promised a promotion since starting. 2 years later and i am yet to have gone any where.

I got a written warning last year due to been pissed off with the job and it was visable with the work i was doing.

They then said they saw a great inprovement in my work and i started advanced training programe including Microsoft courses etc.

I have just got an email (so has the team) about a job that is open and its the job i have been promissed but never get each time. I no and the people i work with no im the only one able to do this job now. but i put £100 down that i dont get it.

Your 19, your still a youngen (im only 20, lol). If I was you I would go for this and if they say no, move to a different company and use it as a excuse. The fact that they are holding you back.

I havnt been bovad about getting it before as i was young and with the warning i didnt expect it but now i shoud be next in line as i no the job in and out and i am good at it.


This job only comes around whenever someone leaves that team. which isnt very offten.

Just found out who i will be going up against for the job, 2 new started to the contract and one that phones in sick alot.

We are going to have to do a tech based exam, but my temp manager who i dont get on with says that it might just come down to who she wants and i know for a fucking fact that isnt going to be me...

So the job looking has started today, I will still go for the job but i dont thik i will get it now smileys/sad.gif which is shit as i have over 1 and a half years more experiance of are contract then anyone else.

i had to do a numercy (sp) test for my new job then an interview....i thought there was no way id get as i was up against a 40yr old guy!

but i proved myself wrong, think confident and youll be confident!

Its not that, it will be in spite (sp) from my acting manager she will set somebody else on. Shes done it to me 3 times now and last time she said i was next in line and insted of just giving the promotion they are doing it like i said above which has never been the case

i have been promised to be put in 4 me class 2 (18tons) lorry test for 1-1/2 years!!!

that would go from £13.500 a year to £18.000!!!

and i also have many things going for me and the company like i am one the long serving on transport (3-1/2years)with a good record (breakages/timedrops etc) and i know every run every pub well and always have a crack with the customers!!!

i do not know where i am going wrong!!!

Fucking bullshit, They said becuase i havnt got sercuity clearance i cant do it so has to go on hold for 2months till it clears. I got higher then all the others on the exam but becuase of that it isnt possible. So the office bum boy got the job. and then in 2 months i get to do it.

fuck em mate, i have been doing the same job for two and a half years, and about a year ago they asked me if i could do weekends temporarily. So i said i would only do it for a couple of months which they said would help them out a lot. A year later i'm still doing it, so last weekend i handed in my notice which shut the fuckers up and none of them could believe it, so just tell em to stick it mate if i was you!!!!!

I started sending my cv out on friday, I got 3 phone calls and awaiting some back this week and one on the 19th about sorting interviews. I will stay here, do no extra work that im not contracted to do, Never conme in early if someone needs some time off etc. Im only young no point in been stressed out about a carer. take every day is it comes now.
