i live in edinburgh.i have just got my taxi card. i have a job were i earn 145 a week as my wife is ate uni all week and i have 2 kids.

i have been offered rental from local fir for 185 a ween from 6 in the morning till 6 at nite. i know the more hours i work the better but would i earn enough to make it worth my while?

Possibly, depends really. Alot of special needs schools use taxi's to ferry troublesome kids to school and back, just one kid can make you £200+ per week depending.
Daytime is mainly all about the little job with old women goin the shops etc.
Also rental till 6 is fine, but if you get a fare at half 5 and it's rush hour what then?

These are all my own experience working in Coventry, dunno what the trade is like in other parts, i would say that you would normally get more in a friday or saturday night than the rest of the week, also early on a Sunday is good too as not many taxi's about as they been on all night and people wake up at random skets houses and need to get home, this can often be a massive fare but to them not thinking about it the night before, and only thinking about the one night stand they were about to get ;)
