Rear Windows been smashed

Hi all, anyone got any idea on how much a rear heated window will be as i have just had mine smashed not even had the car a flaming week yet.
Well annoyed ( few other words could have been used but being nice)

Any help be gratefully welcomed

is it going on insurance? sometimes cheaper to buy a tailgate with glass and swap over if you can find one the right colour.

Mine did this, rear window blew out, check your insurance, may just have a lil excess to pay

well i basically pulled up to talk to a friend then about to set off and bang window gone didnt see anyone even though half the lads ran up the hill to have a look but obviously who ever it was had gone

I dunno, scared the shit out of me though, think its just stress and strain, looked like it blew around the heater element though, luckily my rear tint held it together

nah nothing got nicked i was sat in the car when it was smashed and i was more bothered bout myself than car so shot off to the coppers that were just down the road ironic or what lol they were there cus some lads were scrapping and there was blood all over the floor

Its one of te saxos unsolved misteries unfortunatly,They just blow for no reason.It happened to me and ive heard of a fair few others too.

Not heard of the rear window smashing on its own, i was thinking it could only really be the heater elements but cant understand it, or someones thrown something at the window

wouldnt it be cheaper just to get a second hand tailgate for around £40 to £50 and fit it yourself only takes around 30 mins?
