yes, but I wouldn't fit it personally.

Stick to a vtr gearbox, or vts gearbox if you want to get through the gears quicker

So it just be a straight swap?

yes, vtr shafts should fit, but I don't think they'll sit in the diff 100% of the way due to the diff differences, but I'm sure it'll work.

I would never fit a non-sports gearbox to a sports engine (vtr/vts) but people do do it

I have read about them on here but in was in two minds wether to do it or not ... Im going to get the gearbox but keep my vtr one just incase it does mess up on me... then i might look at getting the vts :) ...

If I was you I'd keep the vtr one for now, and maybe put a vts one on in the future.

What kind of difference would it make with a vts box?

1.1 box > VTR box, fair enough it hasn't got the sports ratios, but it has got a shorter final drive, so boosts acceleration quite noticeably, and so long as you change up near/at the limiter, you still drop back 'onto cam'.

And the smaller diff isn't a problem, and the shafts do sit in fine.
