Heres a quick photoshop of the number plate onto the sax. I kept the original background from the number plate you had.

Dude the only way i know of getting that exactly perfect would be to get a pic of the blue sax in almost exactly the same position and same lighting, the numberplates slightly got a blue tinge to it and too small if you resize the numberplate the letters become distorted (you can see the pixcels)

This is why I didnt do an exact copy of the no plate...

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/Luiii/5C92C_new_vtr_008copy2.jpg

The image was poor quality so the no plate looks a bit blue. If you look back at my previous post you will see that I did exactly the same as this but I cut around the letters so that you would have the original background numberplate - thus removing the blue tint.

The letters look a bit blurred due to the image quality.

Just remove the saturation....

But if you desaturate the image wont the letters on the number plate lose the boldness to it - appear a bit more grey like?

No, the letters shoudl stay dark, just lose the colour. Whick isn't a probelm becuase its black.
