I'm currently running a 8v with a Turbo conversion and to be honest it takes up a bit of space and I'd like a bit more room in my engine bay ... So I want to ditch the PAS unit and run a manual steering system instead ! I've got hold of a complete set up off an S1 Rallye , so I just want know if it's just a straight swap job ? Or weather any other changes are needed ?

Think its a straight swap
tbh not much to get the rack out, if you have a turbo conversion and you dont it yaself then it will be very easy for you
inlet manifold, fuel rail and injectors off
pinch bolt from inside the car out and theres a clip on it too
track rod ends out (mark the position before taking them off)
undo the 2 pas pipes
think theres about 3 torx bolts that hold the rack in
thats about it oh and just top rip the pas motor and pipes out
simples

Once fitted you will need to get the tracking done yes
