Right, not sure if this is in the right section first of all :)
Im not confident about getting the following done:
Timing belt change
Drive shaft or CV joint (i think it is) change..
So how much would parts a labour roughly be to get this done.
Reason i ask is its just started to knock when turning left from the drivers side front wheel and from the search on here it seems the CV joint or drive shaft is at fault. Also Timing belt is prob long over due as the car had 80k on when i got it about a month and no service history.
Also i got a sort of quiet but noticeable griding sort of sound coming from the front when i let go of the accelerator from higher speeds when i'm in gear. If i press the clutch/accelerator it disappears. When i slow down it gets quieter or if i press the clutch it stops all together. Only thing i could find on here was either drive shaft or gear box (hope its not!) but there was only a few posts. Any one know what that could be?
