Been thinking about relocating my gearstick for a while now. Basically I want to move it backwards a little bit so it sits a bit closer and I want to move it up higher too. Gonna be making a new surrounding where it sits on. Had a wee look at it today and moving it backwards doesn't seem to be a problem, some welding and cutting a new hole.
Now for moving it upwards I was thinking about welding a rod to the shaft underneath the plastic ball, basically giving it extra length in order to move the whole thing up and then cut of a big chunk above the ball for the short stick. Adding below the ball would also act as a shortshifter but my question is, does anyone know how much can I add to the shaft without making the throw too short?
