little rant on saxp people with modded engines

ok first things first. i DO NOT have a problem with perople with modded engines ie tb, cams etc and i admire them for wanting more from there motor :) problem is though you cant honestly belive they (you) spend all that money on engine mods to only use as a track car?? also i dont understand the concept that why people wwill spend all the money on engine mods ie cams, tb, maybe even a turbo and are not even tyempted to squeeze that pedal a bit more??

any other people feel the same as me. engine kidders please explain and enlighten me as well as i dont want to devolp enemies :) cheers

I hear ya... does make me laugh when a speeding thread comes along and people get slated. Very few people have dedicated Saxo's just for track... IMO

dont have any intention of making my saxo into a track slag.
but this year/next the engine power will be increased!!!

that is what i mean mate i mate of mine got pulled and got his hearing on 5th and everyone jumped on him. yet half of them have throttlle bodies, cams etc etc. once again i dont have a problem with them like lexus light haters with everyone with lexus lights im just puzzled :)

no you dont under stand me. im just saying you cant surely say you stick to 30 in a 30 and when you see a nice straight thats wide open you dont put your foot down? thats what im trying to say. there may be some sensiable people but not everyone can be telling the truth. surely modded engines are for going fast so what i cant under stand the concept of is people saying i stick to the speed limits when they fork through the nose for insurance and are not even tempted to press that pedal a bit more????

urgh my saxo came with lexus lights and they coming out soon as i got the cash!!

would rather have a cheap to run car thats got enough power to be ok at 60mph to be honest! :)

if i wanted to drive sensibly i would of got a 1.1 or diesel

I think its more the fact the sensible people dont wish to advertise themselfs as some what breaking the law here and there and everywhere. thoxse who do put threads up about been caught speeding etc etc need to look at themselfs as they look.
