front dampers help needed asap

if im right is it possible just to change the dampers

the ones ive got havent got the support to hold the springs up

any ides peeps heres the pic of the new ones to help

yes thats how a saxo damper works, its just an insert that slides into the bottom part of the strut with the spring cup etc

so when you take the strut assembly from the car, how doesnt the pressure of the spring seperate the insert from the bottom part of the assembly?. (if you know what i mean) how do you get the shock absorber out of the struts?.
