Ok, people might laugh at me hear but i dont care haha

You know when people buy alloys with no tyre how do they fit them is there a service or garage you take them to or can you do it yourself? Like a bike tire?

Noob question i know but what do you expect from a noob? xD

Most garages will have a machine to do it.
You won't be able to do it yourself without the proper equipment.

Take them to your local tyre supplier

I.E, ats, national tyres, kwick fit may even do them for you

Does it cost much or is it pretty cheap? How much are we talking?

would imagine it is the same price you normally pay for a tyre, there just doin the same service for you, if anything it is easier cos they dont have to take an old tyre off your new rim and they dont have to take the wheel off the car either

my garage charges £5 a wheel thats a new valve, fitting and balanced if you got a set of 4 £20 would'nt pay much more than that

I would never get my tyres from kwik fit etc as they are close to double the price of buying them online (for decent tyres) i would buy the correct tyres for your alloys from Camskill (http://www.camskill.co.uk/) (which i have found to be the best/cheapest online retailer) and take the alloys and tyres to a local garage to fit and balance the wheels for around £10 a wheel. :y:

Expect about £10 a wheel, fully fitted and balanced.

They might ask you to take your own tyres back aswell if you supply you own or charge more to dispose of your tyres.

You kidding on? Most places would take your old tyres no worries to sell on as part worn/track tyres etc

But im sure the op had new wheels with no tyres and just needs new tyres on them rims :p

It costs them to get rid of the tyre, if you supply your own tyre then some will ask you to take the old tyres if they cant re-sell them, or charge an extra £1 a tyre to dispose of them. If they charge more than that per tyre then theyre making profit, it costs the busines £1 a tyre to get rid! or £3 for 4x4 tyres etc

you can put tyres on steel rims yourself but dont attempt alloys you'll just reck them!! X]

you can put tyres on steel rims :S me thinks not mate as its the same principle as alloys .... and you are looking for around a tenner an alloy fully balanced and valved etc ......
