Had a go at claying and waxing for first time today as it was a nice day.
Used Megs Quick Clay kit
and the wax i used was R222
Pics arnt the best but here they are...

You really should be applying a polish after claying............
Waxing an un-polished surface is a waste of wax IMO

ahh ok i was told not to bother by someone else cause paint was in fairly good condition.
What polish you recomend? Im only learning so any advice is great, Cheers

As your polshing by hand i would use this,

Its is a very clever polish.......its got little abrasives in it to remove small defects but as your polishing these abrasives break down and end up super fine to refine the surface.
Its also worth IMO adding a sealant on top of the polished surface to protect it from the elements.

Reason i chose that sealant is its very hard wearing and it can be used on your wheels as its a high temp sealant.
Lots of protection ftw.

by hand i use the auto glym super resin polish does a reasonable job but caints your arms from rubbing so much. i did my gf car yesterday with megs clay kit then ploished using srp then dodo redmist then waxed with poorboys natty paste wax came up fuking lovely. clay bar was smothered it dirt

the claying and polishing take ages and really aches but just bear with it and it will be worth while
