map sensor cause clutch slip like symptons?

map sensor is bolloxed so got the usual irratic high revs, but since the rev problems arised a few weeks ago i noticed i was having 'clutch slip' higher up the revs, now this could be a stupid question but is it possible that the car revving like hell with no speed increase could just be down to the map sensor or is it definately going to be the clutch?

probably just clutching (no pun intended) at straws of hope that i don't need a new clutch :wall:

sounds like clutch tbh - if the car seems to rev but go nowhere then clutch. Try and pull away in 4th - if it stalls then the clutch is okay, if it starts to pull away then need a new clutch

cheers was pretty sure it was clutch anyway, just lookin for measly hope that it might not be, garage will be loving me, not long since got the thing out!
