Thought ide re bump this since ive seen a increase in the amount of producers on here now.
Just need some better speakers since im currently using good old wharfdale multimedia speakers... as in the 2 mains and a sub...
Looking for some decent quality proper monitors now.
Am also going to be buying a hercules mixer thing simply because it has a decent built in soundcard so can use that and also will just help things.
Recomendations?

dj martin aint far wrong, Ive got the Alesis m1 active USB's ( which have a sound card built in ) very good sound representation... There flat so you get a true, accurate sound.
They have 2 1/4 inch jacks on the back so you can plug your mixer into them from your decks or whatever and record straight into them . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVC9Eg4Xje0 My little video on You tube :D

Mine connect to your PC through USB... and the bridge of the 2 speakers is an XLR cable... Which comes with them. And then the 2 Quarter inch jacks are yours to do what you want with them... the speakers record in real good quality too.. No hum or anything...
