Well to be fair, religious stories have always changed and adapted through the years to make them more relevent. I believe thats why the bible is written in a way that its all down to interpretation. So...you may have just adapted it for the jeremy kyle generation lol
No offence to religious people people, im just not one.

There are certain references in the Christian bible that suggest Mary Magdeline (not the mother of Jesus) may have been a prostitute but there have been so many edits of the bible over the last 500 years nobody knows whats what anymore.
There was once a study on a well preserved archiac book that later turned out to be a very early roman catholic bible. In it there was a wee funny story about Jesus turning someone into a goat in his fathers temply that was being used as a market place (not on the sabbath).
Also there were bits about Jesus excorsising one of the apostles, removing demons & turning them into pigs. There are references in three gospels still present in the mainstream bible that suggest this story was once in there. Matthew 8:28-34... TRIPPY READING

Lol, no -because while reading the book you realise there are alot of contradictions that lead to further condractions. Then you read the facts from the historians & the achieologists back it all up with evidence/relics and you basically find alot that did actually happen but happened completely differently.
Too much to go into, but if you imagine a simple sentence & playing chinses whispers with 20ppl your not going to get it spot on. Then imagine all these stories finally collected when writing/documentation became common after years of chinese whispers. Then some guy with good intentions piling them all together & making them sound slightly better & taking out some of the not so great bits. Then imagine over a few hundred years lots of other people editing that version, then the version after that..... so on so forth.

Very true. Plus the story of christianity is seriously unoriginal. Seems very close to a lot of older faiths myths and tails.

A quote from an article I read ages ago...
It's Mary Magalene mind, a close follower of Jesus in his final years.
A completely different person to the mother than gave birth to him & was a follower of his since his age 12 according to the bible.
Anyways:
Few characters in the New Testament have been so sorely miscast as Mary Magdalene, whose reputation as a fallen woman originated not in the Bible but in a sixth-century sermon by Pope Gregory the Great. Not only is misidentified as the repentant prostitute of legend, meditating and levitating in a cave, but she was not necessarily even a notable sinner: Being possessed by "seven demons" that were exorcised by Jesus, she was arguably more victim than sinner. And the idea, popularized by The Da Vinci Code, that Mary was Jesus' wife and bore his child, while not totally disprovable, is the longest of long shots.
Nobody will ever know.
Also worth while to point out that whoever edited the bible removed all acounts of him between the age of 12-30 -epic fail!
