leaky radiator????

does any 1 ever have any problems with water coming out of the top of the radiator on a saxo vts??? let me know as mine has started to do it!

this happened to my 1.1 mate, the fan kept coming on after i'd been driving and found out my radiator was leaking. Took it to a garage and only cost me £30, they just sealed the hole :y:

i dnt think there is a hole mate as the water is coming from the lid itsel as if the lid has broken or summik, the car runs fine oil and temp are ok not over heatin or anythings and is still quick as fuk?? am hoping its just a dodgie screw cap thing

Either you have overfilled the system and the coolant has to blow out somewhere (preferably the cap and not your head), or the rubber seal on the filler cap is missing or perished.

there is a water level on side of bottle never fill to top i brought new lid from halfords cost bout £8 but it sounds like your overfilling

i have checked the cap and there is no seal in there so hopefully it may be that fingers crossed, will gan out the morra and buy a new 1. and to be honest i did fill it to the brim, and now it doesnt seem to be coming out so am guessin its found its level

if there no seal then the coolant no pressurised and it would cause it to steam with long journeys
