right next weekend me and my dad are going to be fitting a a new one of these.
is there any info i should know about the job from people who have done it?
will i need new torsion bars for the new axel ect? as im thinking of lowering it while we are at it. (not the dangerous way)
is there anything else thats worth replacing while the old axel's off?
thanks all, adam

its not reallly fiddley the paint bit is sorting the brake lines out so that the compansator isnt twisted i dsone it twice in a wekk second hand axel was worse than 1st, if your thinking about lowering it make sure wwhen you put it back together with lots of copper grease, every bolt you put in must be greased it will save time and hassle if you ever have to do more work on it.
need and help while your doing it drop me a pm

Still in the middle of doing it here. Brakes were no problem but the bearings and end plates were. Will be putting up a thread with pics when finished. Because the axle on the car I reckon was the original and 9 years of salty roads had taken their toll on certain bolts. Waiting for new bearings and end plate screws for midweek, if doing yourself might be worth pre ordering such pesky items as torx bolts....
