i know everyone on saxp would say to declare all mods which i have done, i was just wondering whether spraying standard vtr alloys black would count as a mod that would need declaring to insurance companies? thanks

LOL, I actually know the answer to this, it's yes :n: Doesn't matter if they're sprayed or OZ's, if they're any different to exactly how it left the factory, they're not standard and it's classed as a mod. I argued with them cos I couldn't see how it could be seeing as they're the same wheels, just a different colour! It was the same price added whether I spend £20 on some rattle cans or 100's on some borbets ...stupid hey!

Things like this are silly but best to tell them. My interior colour changes were classed as a mod by one company but not by another. One put it up £100 for the year because I had sprayed a previously textured black part smooth and gloss black.

Just like kerbing them is :P lol. But yep its a mod (not with all companies), if they dont want to pay out they will use anything they can against you. In most cases though it wouldn't make a difference and if all you had done was to spray your wheels then the assessor would not really note it. But its all at your own risk if you dont declare.

I asked them briefly agers ago and they said they didn't know and they'd have to look into it.

it will be a mod as you have changed the colour you ever have a claim they would give u standard silver wheel
