View Full Version : Where do i put gearbox oil?

I dont know where to put the oil, changing my drive shaft and BOOM oil everywhere.. where do i put some fresh stuff? (:
I need to see so has anyone got a picture or accurate discription?

Don't know if i am can tbh without being in trouble, just go premium if your desperate ;) its a complete guide in changing the gearbox oil. :y:

gunna have to waits lol..I'm changing my driveshaft soon..should just be a oil plug on the Gearbox its self, take it out and fill the oil to the level?

There's a plug on the side.

And, Jordy, your right, you cant show him premium guides.

Ok just checked this for you..here's what I found:

they are on the ns end cap of the gear box but some dont have them so you have to drain box and fill through revese light swithch on top of the box (2.3litres)

all i wanted really was a picture from inside the engine bay to see, apparently its next to the battery.. cant see much tbh but dont worry, i will check elsewhere :y:

Im no mechanic but id say.. the gearbox..
Nah seriously jack the car up take the passenger wheel arch lining out and there is two square plugs on the side of the gearbox, take the top one out and top it up!! Its really easy to do mate

or take the breather cap off from the top of the box, and pour your 2 litres in there.

Dont have to take wheel off that way ;)

or there should be a black cap just to the left of the battery seat.
