Hi all,

Pug 106 door mirrors all floppy.

Can these be removed and fixed ?

I see that you can pick up new ones off the bay for about £15

Anyone got any pointers as to how to get them apart.

Is so is it something simples than can be sorted or is it better just to whack news ones on ?

I had a timid go at it this afternoon didn't get far though..then the aussie GP started and got distracted :-)

quite loose, if you push them a bit they give..fold backwards.

On a downhill run at speed they fold back when I hit a ton and look a bit like the ones on my 407 Sport when I park it.. :-) joking of course...

AA website say this is a very common problem with Pug 106's

Just looking for little jobs that I can sort out on a sunny afternoon..

It'll most likely all end in tears though..

Spent part of the afternoon looking for my Haynes Saxo manual..can't flippin find it anywhere..though the Pug ones are slightlly different..

Seems like the best option given the low cost of replacements.

The wiggly stick thing doesn't move the mirror properly anyway.

Seems like you have to get the inside cover off first to get to the nuts that hold it onto the door, anyone changed one of these before got any tips ?

Colour coded replacements might be nice..shiny blue ones..:A:

i had once tried to do mine but ended up worse than before...the wiggly stick didn't work on mine...after my work on the mirrors...the wiggly stick wasn't there anymore and now the mirror is being held with sealer as i had broke the cable from the wiggly thing to the mirror...so as said its better to just buy new ones
