you need to switch the live wires on the loom around, should be red and yellow,
one is the permanent low live and one is the switched high live.

Just put a thread on this cos I'm usingnet on my phone & its horrible. I need to do this same thing but I'm having trouble doing the actual wire switch.
Can someone advise me on how to actually get the wires switched without cutting and splicing together
Thanks

most cd players the red and yellow wires will be joined in the middle by bullet connectors, so you basically unplug them and switch them round.
If the red and yellow wires arent detachable then you will have to cut them and switch them. For this i would recommend getting yourself some bullet connectors and adding these to the wires. Therefore if you ever need to change them back you will only simply need to unplug them :y:

Managed to get this.the red and yellow wires were able to be pulled out with the help of long nosed pliers

just make sure you disconnect your battery...Because When i did this wire swap, somehow i blew a fuse and caused more problems than i fixed m8.
It was an easy fix - New fuse but you just dont want the hassle. Lol
