Cheapest insurance groups for Jap and/or luxury

What sort of things could i look at as the cheapest to insure Jap style car ( Mazda Rx7 sort of thing ) and /or luxury cars like BMW's etc , Had a look on the internet and cant really find anything

How old are ya? im 23 and have a Saab 9-3 TiD vector 2005 (nr top of the range) and insure it for a little over £400, that is in the mrs name but in mine it wouldt be much more?

An rx8 is group insurance 15 on the 190bhp and 16 on the 230 bhp

I was looking at the 192.. Im not sure how really, thats amazing.. may have to sell the bike and get one :panic: are they worth it? I also put my parents on the policy which may have made it cheaper, and 2 no claims.. But i was the main driver.

iirc, they have shit mpg and drink oil and are quite high on tx but if you can afford it, go for one.

thats a very good price actually considerig some/fucking lots of people will pay over 2k just for a 1.1 lol

I'd keep the bike over an RX-8 any day.

They just aren't that good. And before anyone asks, yes I have driven one. No I didn't like it.

The rx8 isnt too bad really i went out in one with a motorsport racer and was allowed to drive the 231bhp one, he said its not too bad on the oil just keep checking it regularly to make sure its not empty, you can accelerate to 9000 revs before you need to change gear although i was changing every 3000 revs and was told by doin in that way you can get about 30mpg. Iv had a look at other cars such as a merc c class kompressor or an audi tt and their insurance is group 19 so for what your saving on insurance you can use on fuel/ oil. They are also more sexy looking too :)

P.s Iv been quotes £1000 to insure a 231 aswell

Much rather the TT over the RX-8.

You may be able to rev to 9k, but there's no real surge of torque when your driving.
They feel boring tbh.

I disagree id rather have a jap over german, i wanted a car that was quiet rare and could sit 4 comfortably and the rx8 delivers, i could go for a 182 etc but i dont want french no more

I'd also rather have Jap over German, just not an RX-8.
They aren't comfortable, visibility out of them is poor, the engine isn't that great, and not really that rare either.

I just don't get the hype about them.

Personally, would much rather a 200sx over any car mentioned so far.

My dad had a 200sx and i felt the bonnet was too long on them, i do love them though, just looking round and i felt that the rx8 came up tops electric heated seats, cruise control, sat nav, cd auto changer you cant argue with that

I would love the new type s or r but again its high insurance, im seriuosly considering the leon's though i love them, thanks for your help and watch this space :y:
