there are a couple of lads who have ran 9's from 14" to 16". requires some strech and most are running -ve offset through spacers to clear arch bits

Did you get any other info on this as i am also looking to fit 16x9j on the rear. Is there any other work needed to be done to the car or is it just a case of stretched tyres and spacers.??
Any info would be great on this :y:

you need spacers and tyre stretch mate
you just have to play with it on your own car with the height etc.
im looking at some v dubs rims atm so i will space them and tyre stretch, not sure if they will suit my car though so also looking at borbet a's and banded steelies

So there is no arch work needed?:y:

im running 15x9j on the rear, basically had to machine the wheels to make a custom offset, and run a big stretch with the tyres (195x45) no arch work need, as the tyres rub the arch to right shape anyway lol.
16x9 will be harder though, may have to raise the back up to make them fit.

not many have done it, and when i questioned it alot said they wont fit, they scrub on wing though but thats with being that low, but i think 225 is alot of stretch so hate to see what 195 looks lke

Yeah I'm also running 9x15's on the back.
Mine just bolt stright on, spacers are only required if they need spacing.
You will need to run stretch tyres, I'm also running 195's.
We've had to do some slight arch work to get it as low as we wanted.
The offfset does have to be pretty exact as mine is millimeters off the trailing arm and arch
Lots of pictures on my thread.
I think you'll really struggle if you want to run 16's, they may fit but you'll have to run such a high ride height it'll look odd

Cheers for all your in put guys :y:
The wheels that i'm lookin for are Borbet A's 16x9 with offset of ET15 for the rear so would i be right in sayin they would be a straight fit with no spacer? also would be runnin a 195x40 tyre.
My car has also be lowered 3 clicks (50mm) which i may have to raise a click, can anyone see any problems i may have with that?
Sorry for the hi-jack of the thread AJ-K

i see a major problem already, think about saving money for a rear beam refurb before buying big wide wheels as your axle has been lowered the incorrect way which will result in your bearings wearing on the trailing arms.

In what way has it been lowered incorrectly?

if you have lowered your axle via the ''click'' method then you have lowered it the incorrect way and potentially damaging way.
have a read up on a few of the lowering threads on here.
to lower a rear axle both torsion bars have to be removed one at a time, lowered to the correct height then torsion bars put back in.

A bit of missunderstanding there when i said "click" it was just a guide to how low it is as the torsion bars were removed and new bearings fitted at the same time to save any future problems........everythin is nice and tight with no play as it should be :y:

et15 will need spacing
Your best bet would be buy the wheels, trial fit them and then space them/raise your car and/or modify your arch to accomadate.
Anything is possible
