Ive always been under the impression they melt the angel light or something? I'd love to stick some HID's in mine, the light coverage is pretty pants at the minute standard!

so let me explain to you: cheap hid kits do not have uv protection so the uv melts the angel eyes. i have angel eyes and hids in 6000k and so far so good :) and also the vision is far more clear (they are like the bright)

You can get HID kits to fit them in place of most Halogen applications. But none that simple swap the bulbs are legal. http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps The law simple put is all headlight parts must be correctly safety marked to be legal. No HID bulb that fits in place of a halogen bulb is and so are illegal to use on the road.
