i know this is asked all the time but i cant seem to find the answer to the question i want by using the search function.
im getting my vtr lowered next weekend and im going to get a 60mm drop on just springs! people say this isnt a good idea as the standard dampers cant take it!
but people who have this done say otherwise and dont seem to have a problem! Could someone who has had a 60mm drop on just springs let me know if they have had any problems or not? cant really afford to get dampers atm but want it slammed smileys/happy.gif
cheers dudes

Just hold out until you can afford them mate. Aftermarket dampers make such a difference its quite unreal.
Whats the point in paying to get your car lowered and it handles like a bag of shit?
Fair enough 60mm isnt good for handling anyway...but with just springs is gona kill it!

well its booked in now, and il change the dampers when it needs to be done i guess
i just remember some people saying they have it done by 60mm and didnt have any problems and found the ride to be alright!
cant find the post now smileys/sad.gif

both myself and Danvtr_9 were lowered 60mm on just springs and the ride was a bit bumpy but nothing i couldn't handle and the handling wasn't that bad at all. but granted aftermarket dampers will make a big difference to both handling and ride quality, and as i understand the bilstein dampers that gmc sell are the only ones which are genuinely shorter thatn standard which you'll need with a 60mm drop unless you want to bottom out on the slightest bump. smileys/smiley4.gif
