Ticking noise which randomly occurs

Basically it does it time to time and whenever it feels like it whether the car is running or just the igntion lights on..

It sounds like its coming from the glovebox and almost sounds like an indicator..

is this a relay or fuse or something and if so how do i cure it?

It must be a relay spazzing out. Try to identify the culprit by putting your finger on it - you will feel it clicking. Replace with another to fix.

I've also had a random clicking sound mainly when driving along. Happens quite rarely...
