Took my car to the garage today and it had to have rear discs replaced, needs a new driver side driveshaft and a new rear axel! I'm gutted!

I was just wondering what kinda price i should be looking at to get the Axel done if i can grab one from a scrappy?

Also will my car fail the MoT for having the engine management light on?

Cheers
