just been out in the saxo and it will not rev above 3k everytime i hit that the revs bounce and the engine autodiagnostic lamp flashes each time it bounces, like ive got a rev limit at 3k. I tried reving it in neutral with a bit more gas then it wouldnt rev above 2k and the same happens again.
Any ideas? smileys/smiley5.gifsmileys/smiley13.gif

Its an MK1 vtr 1999 with nearly 80k on the clocks, problem is the engine sounds and feels fine, i thought it would be something to do with the ecu being in limp home mode smileys/smiley5.gif

or your exhaust could be blocked

my old cat started to break down and a big peice got stuck in the middle section

sorted time for a de-cat me thought at the time

Crack in the manifold/downpipe maybe?

Get someone to check the whole exhaust, then get it hooked up to Citroen if theres no fault found

I was out in the rain last night worst we had in ages and did hit quite a few large puddles on the road think it might be something to do with that.
