Helloo, The headgasket has gone on my 1.4 westcoast. I've been getting quotes from 350-450 to fix it, but heard like anything it can be done ur self, however being a girl i wouldnt kno where 2 start.

I live in the gillingham area in kent and was wondering if anyone can help! obviously i will pay but just not the silly money the garages are asking.

Thanks :)

Haynes manual - not that hard to do tbh, just a matter of taking your time and looking for info on here.

Can easily do it yourself for under £100

Just being a girl dosn't mean to say you can't do it. As stated above, if you have a Haynes manual, a reasonable toolbox and common sense you will have no problem doing the job yourself. Again roughly £100 or so should cover the cost for bits, however whilst the head is off you may as well replace the cam belt and look at the tensioner and water pump.
