engine no and cc?

hi there people..
was wondering what the correct engine size is in an early vts?
also there is 2 engine codes on the alloy plate on timing belt cover,
one starting nfx and the other psa, what is the right 1 as im filling in the changes to vehicle part in v5.
it asks for the tax class, any 1 know what tax classation is on vts?

1587. engine code is tu5j4

for road tax... pre 2001 it would be the higher class (1.6 or above)

anything after 2001 goes on emission (quick google would throw up results on that)
