Ok, firstly not sure if this is the right section to post this in so if its not then mod please move it.
So im going to be buying a sat nav tomorrow and im undecided between http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_72 8471_langId_-1_categoryId_165685 and http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_72 8753_langId_-1_categoryId_165685
Anyone got any advice for me?

i personally didnt like the GUI on the garmin, but that is possibly down to me mostly using a TomTom, I also now have iPhone with the TomTom app and love it
in all honesty, i dont think theres much of a difference, just go for whichever looks the best because at the end of the day, they all use the same satellites and the map is going to be the same... just the route planning may differ (make sure you get 7digit postcode search) without its a pain!

I have never tried garmin.
But I would not recommend TomToms.
Mine sometimes takes forever to find a signal. So your sat about waiting for it to sort itself out before you can set off. Sometimes It just wont find the signal at all.
In Leeds city centre it kept sending me around in circles, whilst making random chicken noises.
This is one of the first TomToms that came out though.
You'll get various opinions about them both. Mines probably playing up because of its age / possibly a faulty one. But im sure garmins will be just the same.
I was looking at some Sat navs in Halfords today. Theres a 50% off sale on ALL sat navs. Doesn't seem to be the same offer online.

Garmin definitely.
Every TomTom i've used either didn't work or took ages to work and crashed.
