I heard on the radio a couple weeks ago that in some cases, when you buy a used car off a dealer that they are required to do repairs on the car for so long.

Now, obviously there must be a few ins and outs of this rule, does anyone have any further details about it?

I bought my vtr from citreon 2 weeks ago and a couple of things weren't sorted that they said they would fix. So I dropped it off again early this week. However, engine light has come on an 'service' idicator came on too. Are they required to look at all of it?

Anyone have any clue about this stuff?

there are actually some legal rights that mean they have to repair your car. But they have to prove that the fault wasn't there when the car was purchased. I did some research last night and found a few links. Ill try to get them up.

No matter what you buy it legally has to be fit for purpose, unless sold as seen
