Would be a bit put off if I didn't actually know anyone else either, groups intimidate me, not nice trying to get to know a group of people when you have no basis for getting to know them, think I'd feel like a bit of a knob introducing myself to a group of people who already know each other...

That is exactly how I feel. I went to a meet where they all knew each other and I went with a mate and me and him got introduced and everything but couldnt even start a conversation and we didnt really do alot. Just felt like I shouldn't have been there tbh. I've met a few decent sax-p kids though, not a huge fan of meets anymore though although some pictures of meets look sick, no one took pictures when I went...

All meets are different. We had a mini meet down the SW a while ago now. Saxo's, 106's, 206 and a shitty V-dub.

Just because you own the same car, or not, doesn't mean you have to talk about 'em either. Lay down a list of things to do maybe and just talk shite.
