Hey guys,

Went out for a lovely drive in the sunny weather today and the clutch/gear box seems to have developed a squeak...depressing the clutch pedal and moving the gear stick a little. Any ideas? Perhaps a little dry and needs some more gearbox oil? But would that be the case if the clutch is squeaking?

I have the same problem. Ive been told to grease up the gear stick under the gaitor and if it squeks when pushing the clutch then it could be the clutch cable.

I havnt verified these solutions but i was told by mates who used to have a saxo!

Yeah I've found the same....sprayed some WD40 into the ball under the gaitor but seems the noise comes from under the car. Going to get it up on the axle stands and grease that baby up. Apparently the gear stick runs next to the exhaust so drys it all out. Think this is right eb cause it doesnt squeak in the wet.

Will post once I've greased it up.

I have the same problem mate, hot or cold the clutch squeeks plus the gear changes i get an occasional squeak.

I will be looking forward to the outcome of this one as its rather annoying :)

Im thinking of banging some WD40 down under the gearstick and moving the stick into and out of different gears, however the clutch is a mystery?
