that my friend is probably called torque steer. All front wheel drive cars have it, its to do with not having equal length driveshafts.

if it doesnt do it when driving normally then theres nothing to worry about.

The gear you are in has nothing to do with it except the lower gears provide more torque and hence more movement of the worn part(s).

geting tracking done is fine but if your suspension is worn it will be out again as soon as you take it off the ramps.

I would be looking at the ball joints and bottom arm bushes (especially the front arms rear bushes that bolt up under where your feet are when sat in car).

Have a look under car for signs of crash damage too and most importantly check tyre pressurees, tyre pressure has a massive effect on how the Saxo handles and tracks in my experience.

*SKA_WARS* Torque steer is not really felt in a (standard and straight) VTR but agree that on the face of it it does sound like that.

Good luck with it

didn't look at his car. fail.

i'm used to driving my vts which is pretty bad for it, especially in first.

if the sus/steering was worn though it would pull regardless of how hard he pulled away, leading me to go for torque steer.

as for checking crash damage, look at the front wheels for the side on, they should both sit in the same place with regards to the arch. Its suprising how much the wheel moves even when a lower arm is lsightly bent.

had a look on the ramps today my two front tyres look shot one is all cracking the dot code says its abut 5 years old lol
there is a tiny milimeter rip in one of the lower arm bushes and it looks a bit worn and cracking but nothing major all wheels look straght etc nothing looks bent really do you reckon the old tyre is proberly to blame? both front tyres are diffrent makes too
