I bought a sub woofer with a built in amp yesterday and instead of waiting to get it fitted properly my dad volunteered to try and fit it for me, he messed around with a few wires round the back of the headunit and disconnected the battery and loads of the electrics won't work anymore such as the power steering, stereo, windows, indicators etc.. anyone know what the fault could be and how much it would be to get fixed?

Cheers.

bet he shorted it out when fitting the sub, check all your fuses, did he disconnect the battery when doing it, if not then that your problem, if you find your fuses keep blowing when you change them then you got a constant short, so prob either the live if going to earth or earth to live, just check the cable he put in, make sure no copper of the wire is exposed and touching the car

Im in awe that its possible to screw up a sub installation that badly.

Check all your fuses and relay's, replace the ones that have failed, if they blow again something is shorting out somewhere.
