ratling noise coming from gearbox?

:wacko: just as it reads..basically wen im driving normal its fine..but wen high revs come in then i get like a rattling noise coming through gear stick..iv done oil change the other day with some decent shit @ £20 a litre which gets rid of most if not all gearbox noises, but not this one..iv checked heat sheild and thts good..changed gearbox pins but still nothing..help please chaps and chappettes..

oh and also if i hold the knob (excuse my language) /stick tight wilst driving ther is no rattling noise..anyone had this problem b4?

i'd agree, possibly gearbox mount gone/on its way out so vibrating at certain resonance maybe?

could also be the heat shield is broken/dislodged and resting against your gear linkages

same as my car the wee ball fell out of my gearlinkage and its lose and rattling
