I know this has probably been posted so many times, so apologies if it has.

I currently have a 1999 VTR and im looking for something a little newer and a little quicker.

I was looking at maybe a 106 Gti or a Clio Sport...but are there anymore suggestions as my mind has gone completely blank.

As for price, say up to 3k?

Any help appreciated!

If you are looking at the Clio , theres only one i'd have and thats a proper Williams Clio!!! everyday of the week.

My mind has completely blanked to be fair!

All I can think of is the 106 and the Clio...big fan of 106 GTI's though.

Just trying to think of other cars that are relatively nippy and that actually look fairly decent.

With 3k you could get a decent Golf. Will be highish mileage but engines are builtproof :y:

People are pricing 106 gti's at 3k with 100k on the clock, they're dreamers.
Can pick up a nice saxo vts for under 3k with low mileage :y:

Clio will make a 106 gti look pedestrian tbh mate and will hold its value much better in the long term, i think they look really retro cool:cool: thats just my opinion though, although i do like the 106's also.

I was a golf lover....untill i bought one. lol
Now i have one, everyother car is a f**king golf.
AND they expensive to run compare to the saxo/106

Personally, i would buy a decent vts for about 2200 and either cam it of save up for something faster later on in life.

EDIT: You have to ask your self, do you want a grown up car that sensible? or Do you want something that cheap and fun?

I suppose im looking for something thats a bit of both really mate. I want a sensible car, but something that has the ability to be fun also.

I was looking at a VTS but so many have been completely ripped all their lives its hard to find a decent one.

Some sort of 1.8T, fun cars, tunable, comfort and speed - best of both worlds!

Some sort of 1.8T, fun cars, tunable, comfort and speed - best of both worlds!

Fun - Only on straight roads IMO.
Tunable - Can easily push 350bhp++ :fcuk:
Comfort - Yes comfy, if going lower then expensive!
Speed - Very quick but only on straight roads IMO.

Civic VTi EG6/EK4 personally i'd go for the EG6 but then again i have had 3 so would say that. Both are 1.6L and 160bhp just imo the eg shape looks better and fresher.
I got my current one for under 3k and it is totally standard bar alloys and momo steering wheel, has no rust and has only done 110,000kms,has fsh (both japanese and english),all japanese documents and books, all import papers, shit loads of receipts, comes with A/C and a few optional extras such as glass sunroof, cup holders, front fogs, oem diff and full Gathers sound system.

Can be made to handle bud, need some decent coilys and a rear ARB though so not particuarly cheap! Also I think if you go Ibiza/Leon they handle better too. But end of the day it's hooning it round corners which causes people to end up having nasty crashes, so i'm not really bothered about the fact that I can't! :y:
