hey guys how are you all i have just picked my self up a facelift VTR on a W reg

ill get some pics uo later i got it as a 2nd car as i have a civic tyoe R that i use at weekend or that and keeping it mint (honda @ heart) but allways wanted a VTR .

picked up the facelift VTR for £1000 not to bad bit rought round edges but with a years mot and tax its happy days

quick questions tho im trying to order up parts for it but need to know if its the -00 or 2000-?

whats the best ways to tell what i have? as i think the vavle cover has been painted,

i have the same thing, the engine will be pre 2000 and some/most of bodie and interior will be post 2000. so you will have the mark 1 engine.

Also noticed the cat is not on the manifold it's under car does this help identify which parts I need to buy

MK1 That is IIRC. it will be the model just before they started making the mark 2's

defo mine is a 1999 and the cat is under the car, any i have seen after this has it in the mani

So is the mk1 engine in the facelift car a good setup or is the better engine the facelift one ?

hola check how many plugs you have on the ecu and that will solve it i think. sounds like its an early engine, my mk1 vtr has its cat under the car.

the mk1 engine is 90hp and mk2 engine is 98hp
