Well going to bite the bullet and get myself some snazzy new shades to replace my American back alley jobs lol.

Is there a real difference between polarized and non-polarized ? Like during everyday stuff and driving or will I notice the difference from my crappy ones to upgrading to non-polarized decent Ray-Bans ?

id say there is a difference, less glare and an almost clearer look out of them.

as for a difference the chances are you will notice a complete change from el cheapo to a pair with decent lenses. my oakleys are polarized and my raybans are not and i can tell the difference between polarised and not, my tom ford ones are not polarized and considering they were 400 quid the lenses are shocking compared to my 90 quid raybans.

lenses are the key rather than brands if that makes sense, best sunnies ive ever tried on were my dads serengeti ones, the lenses themselves were fantastic.

oakleys are alright for sporty sorta stuff, think there a bit ott for general wearing I refuse to buy any decent shades as iv broken my last expensive pair by sitting my fat ass on them :(

Cheers for the help guys, am looking at these here. (http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/uk-sunglasses/Ray-Ban-Sunglasses/Ray-Ban-3421-Gunmetal-Polarised/16556.htm) Just deciding wether to pay the extra to have the polarised lenses.

Am digging a few pairs of oakleys too but they all look mental for me to wear lol.

I'm not too keen on the rounder lenses that Oakleys have, the square wires 2.0 look like the only pair I would consider.
