View Full Version : Smoothed VT* Arches

I was thinking about this the other day and thought that smoothing the standard VT* arches into the bodywork could look quite nice?

Someone must have done it before, right? If there are any pictures you can find, please post them here, I will be more than grateful

Cheers mate, :y:

Still, has anyone done it so the arches don't look seperate from the car? Like, imagine adding some filler to the top of the arches to smooth it with the actual bodywork? Or something like that.

Just like to know as I should be getting 16v's at the end of the year and was curious as i'd like to do it. Thanks for any help btw.

it would be a nightmare to do because of inevitable flex of the car it would crack the filler all the time.

But surely something else can be used, maybe not filler, but something that'll smooth the arches on? I thought it would look the tits, or atleast in my head it does. Surely if I took it to a bodyshop and said smooth all my arches into the bodywork then they could do it right?:panic:

you would have to use filler to get a smooth look and kit would crack.

they would of used fibreglass first, then a skim of filler afterwards. also the kit would have to be bonded on as it would flex too much with the standard clips.
