hi me and my other half are planning to go on holiday this year but we are undecided on where we would like to go. We want to go somewhere fun with plenty to do but we do not want to go to Florida as it is out of our price range and we have been to Tenerife so many times. Any suggestions would be great thanks folks.:panic:

i'd say turkey marmaris or anywhere within the bodrum area, i've just got back from belek over near antalya which was really nice but not so much to do and more of a german resort. been turkey 5 times now and now that pesterin is illegal its a lot more relaxing, also egypt is great

turkey is mainly boat trips etc, interesting trips generally require you to travel long distances on coaches and are usually not quite what was advertised, but if you like boat trips and jeep safari's ans turkish baths you'd be fine and plenty of bars,
egypt on the other hand has plenty to do, scuba diving excursions etc, if you go to sharm the day trip to cairo on a plane is £150 each (can get it cheaper i believe) which includes a full guided tour of the city, pyramids, the museum entry costs etc all included, hands down the best £150 i've ever spent! and the sharm resort is around the same cost as turkey resorts

tbh they are cu*** for pestering they were the only downside to the whole holiday, in cairo we found it was best to just say 'no english' and they left you alone, my missus is the biggest wimp on the planet and she felt safe i wouldn't say they are dangerous just annoyin as hell, and you can't get into the areas where they might be a bit dodgy anyway

jeep safari in bodrum made me wet myself, said they were taking us to a lake filled with eel, was more like a muddy puddle! i do love their relaxed attitude, one of their drivers had to leave early so they just asked who can drive, i perked up and they just gave me the keys and let me drive it all the way back to bodrum without even checking i knew how to drive!

I went on a quad tour which included various stop offs at local villages. Well I say villages but its more like a square of shack/tent things with a fountain in the middle. The locals seemed friendly enough, offered us tea etc and never tried to sell us anything.
We never really left the resort though over than that. Upon arrivel the guy on the coach nicely informed us "That hotel there was bombed last year".... which was around the corner from ours.
