View Full Version : Forced off the road by an on coming 4x4!!

Earlier on this week I was faced with the decision of either having a head on crash with a Toyota 4x4 of some description or chancing my luck of going up a bank. Well of course I chose the latter, but it isn't as simple as that. There was a tree which my car ploughed into.
I now need a new passenger wing for a 1998 flat arched Citroen Saxo in metallic green. Ebay has not come up with anything other than VT* wings and wings that would need to be resprayed to match my colour. What I am wondering is if anyone knows of any wings for sale that are metallic green and for a flat arched saxo please?
Oh and my local scrap yards have nothing :n:
Thanks
Ryan

Not bad that all you need is a wing from "ploughing" into a tree ;)
Was it a Bonsai?

Well "ploughing" was maybe too strong of a word. I was doing roughly 25/30mph (didn't look down, so not too sure) upon impact with the tree. I have checked the chassis legs etc and they are all perfectly fine, however the wing is not so healthy :(

Get any colour wing and get it aprayed to the right colour as will be slightly off in most cases with a panel from another car

Knock most of it out with a piece of wood until you get a new one. What I did :)

That is what I am worried about, hence why I am primarily looking for a wing of the same colour. If I cannot find one, would the colour match be ok if the wing was to be a pattent part and then have it sprayed by a bodyshop? The car hasn't faded in any parts and in general good nic for a 12 year old car

No the absolute cocktard was on my side of the road mid corner, of which is really quite sharp so I couldn't see him coming until I was just about to enter the corner myself. My arse was going like a rabbits nose. In the 4 1/2 years of driving I have never come close to anything like this and it shook me up for a good hour after. The 4x4 was a Toyota Land Cruiser, so that would have just driven over my saxo no doubt and on my side of the car too. Seriously sketchy stuff!!

Thanks pal :D. My parents went nuts and blamed me, until I drew them a picture of what actually happened lol. Crazy!!
The hardest part is going to be finding a new wing. I really never thought it would be this hard to find one in the same colour :n:

How the fuck is a RTC anything to do with your parents.
That pisses me off. Fucking parents. If they paid for it, I can see they might have a leg to stand on, albeit a very unstable prosthetic leg. People crash, and when it isn't your fault it's fucking outrageous, last thing you need when you're shook up after a crash is parents blaming you.. for something that isn't your fault.
