thinking of getting some spacers for the bmw and going to have a new game plan for the car.

10mm spacers will that pull each wheel out 5mm each side? so 5mm added on one side and then 5mm on the other? to make the total of 10mm???
sorry for being thick lol:y:

a single 10 mm spacer will decrease the wheels offset by 10mm therefore moving the wheel 10mm further out of the the arch.

so it that 10mm on one wheel or 5 each side?
or 10mm on each so total ofset is 20mm?

A 10mm spacer does exactly that, spaces out a wheel 10mm. If you fit them on each side, each wheel is now sitting 10mm further from the car.

If you want each wheel spaced by 10mm you will need to get a 20mm spacer kit, or each wheel by 5mm get a 10mm spacer kit, try venommotorsport.com, 01254820005, the vw lads swear by their kits and i never had problems with wheel wobble or bearings with my 40mm kit on my mk2 golf. They should have your pcd and they will talk you thru specs etc on the phone.
